🎉 Top Local Festivals in Jávea You Won’t Want to Miss in 2025!
Planning a holiday in Jávea? Make it unforgettable by timing your stay with one of our iconic local fiestas! From flaming bonfires to medieval battles and… swimming bulls (yes, really) – there’s always something wild going on.
Here’s your cheat sheet for Jávea’s top 2025 festivals:
🔥 Fogueres de Sant Joan (June 13–24)
The biggest party in town! Expect parades, firecrackers, and huge papier-mâché figures going up in flames on the final night. Loud, smoky, and absolutely epic.
⚔️ Moros y Cristianos (July 12–20)
Step into a live-action movie! Elaborate costumes, battle reenactments, and a whole lot of pageantry. Don’t miss the sea battle in the port area – it’s legendary.
🐮 Bous a la Mar (August – dates TBA)
Only in Spain: daring locals lure bulls into the sea from a dockside arena. It’s more comedy than cruelty – no bulls are harmed, but the same can’t be said for the swimmers!
🍷 Fiesta de la Vendimia (Late September)
A delicious, grape-filled celebration of the wine harvest. Think tastings, folk dancing, and laid-back village vibes.
🚶♀️ Romería al Cabo San Antonio (October, usually 2nd Sunday)
A peaceful pilgrimage from the town center to the stunning San Antonio cape. Music, views, and that feel-good local spirit.
