Dénia – not quite charm-central, but perfect for boat lovers 🚤

We took a little detour from Jávea to check out Dénia, the big sibling up the coast. It’s definitely got more hustle and bustle – more shops, more traffic, more... concrete. Let’s just say it doesn’t have the postcard charm of Jávea’s coves and old town streets. But! Dénia makes up for it with one big bonus: boats.

You can easily rent a boat with a skipper here – no license, no stress, just sunscreen and a good playlist. So that’s exactly what we did. We packed some snacks, grabbed hats, and set sail... right back toward our favorite place: Granadella, but this time from the water.

And wow. Seeing that cove from the sea is a whole new experience – the cliffs, the caves, the color of the water shifting from deep sapphire to electric turquoise. The skipper even anchored for a swim stop, so we all jumped in for a dip straight off the boat. The kids were in heaven.

So yes, Dénia might not win any "cutest town" awards from us – but if you're up for some sea adventure, it's the perfect launchpad.
